Cats

Tank and Toothless

Tank and Toothless arrived with us after being trapped by some members of the public as strays on the busy streets of Middlesbrough. Previously to this they’d had litters, been spayed and re-released. As they were feral cats, they were more suited to life here at the Sanctuary where they prefer to remain on patrol in the barn. They have gradually learned to trust us and will sometimes allow us to fuss them to the point of purring. Although they are barn cats these days, they are not without their creature comforts out there and can regularly be found snoozing in their comfy beds by the windows.

Smudge

Smudge came to us when her owners were relocating to a busy road from a semi-rural property. Already an ‘outdoor’ cat, her owners thought it would be better for her to remain on a farm. We had a spot here so along she came. At approximately 15 years-old, she likes to while away the time lounging in her window bed, waiting for a sunbeam.
