Ducks

Team Duck

Numbering 32 currently, the ducks of the Sanctuary are varied in breed and stature. A mixture of drakes and ducks, they tend to form their own little groups of friends within the main flock. Allowed to free-range the same as the chickens, they also enjoy time in their large pond where they enjoy what we call ‘Turbo-ducking’ which is zooming under the water very quickly.

Similar to the other animals, the ducks that reside here have diverse needs with regards to their health. We have blind ducks (shout out to Belinda and Bovril), drakes with now-healed genital prolapses (Albie is still very popular with the ladies, thank you), wry-necked ducks, ducks that have lost their waterproofing due to oil-gland issues and those that have foot and leg issues.

They Need Your Help!

Help In A Pickle Farm Sanctuary to keep delivering the quality of care and love that all of the animals deserve. Any donation of any size goes 100% to support the animals in our care.

So anything you can give today will help our eclectic family of four-legged and winged friends have a better tomorrow.
