Guinea Fowl

Willow and Honeysuckle are the only two Guinea Fowl at the Sanctuary, but boy do you know they are here. Quite possibly the noisiest animals on the farm, they sound like sirens. We often liken them to Bobby’s on the Beat as they are always first at the scene of any activity.

Note: Avian Flu has been an increasing challenge for keeping birds over the years. Thankfully we have been able to adapt the conditions here to be able to accommodate the DEFRA rules when it comes to a ‘flockdown’ and all the birds have to remain inside temporarily. We make sure they are provided with lots of enrichment activities and space.
